Brisbane Portrait Prize is a contemporary portrait prize, dedicated to supporting artists and their interests. Brisbane Portrait Prize and Veracity are proud to announce a strategic partnership with Veracity named as the exclusive Prize Partner for the 2025 Digital Prize.

As technology continues to influence artistic expression, the rise of AI-driven tools has generated exciting opportunities alongside critical debates about authenticity, creativity, and humanity in art. With Veracity’s expertise in IT and technological innovation, this partnership offers a platform to explore these evolving conversations.

Bill Owens, Managing Director of Veracity, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration:
“Brisbane Portrait Prize celebrates storytelling and creativity, and we are thrilled to support the Digital Prize, a category which awards digitally created still works. Technology has the power to amplify human creativity, and we’re increasingly working with clients in various sectors to help them evaluate their readiness to adopt new technologies like Gen AI securely and effectively within their organisations. Navigating the role of technology in the future of the Arts is something we are deeply passionate about, and this partnership reflects that perfectly.”

Brisbane Portrait Prize is Queensland’s premier celebration of portraiture, connecting local artists and audiences through a dynamic exploration of identity and creativity. By supporting the Digital Prize, Veracity will play a key role in fostering innovation in portraiture and empowering artists who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible with digital mediums.

Anna Reynolds, Board Chair of Brisbane Portrait Prize highlighted the value of the partnership:
“We are delighted to have Veracity onboard as our Digital Prize Partner. Veracity’s leadership in technology and like-minded support for the Arts makes them a natural fit as a valued Brisbane Portrait Prize partner. This partnership will elevate the Digital Prize and contribute to the vibrant discussions about how technology can shape the future of creative expression.”

The 2025 Brisbane Portrait Prize Finalists Exhibition will run from 20 September to 9 November 2025 at the State Library of Queensland, showcasing exceptional artworks from local artists, including groundbreaking digital portraits.
