The Challenge

As Hear and Say expanded, its existing ICT platform became increasingly inadequate to meet the demands of its growing operations. With five centres across Queensland and more than 100 staff members, the organisation’s ICT infrastructure had become cumbersome, with many manual processes slowing productivity and increasing inefficiencies.

The management team recognised that their outdated, on-premises ICT infrastructure was no longer able to support their ambitious growth plans. Hear and Say needed a more flexible, scalable, and efficient solution to enable them to better serve their clients, community and support internal operations.

The Opportunity

Veracity was brought on board to help Hear and Say transition from an outdated on-premises ICT platform to a more modern, cloud-first platform. The key opportunities were clear:

  • By moving to the cloud, Hear and Say could eliminate the constraints of local servers, simplify its infrastructure, and improve the accessibility of its business-critical applications and data.
  • The existing lack of integration between applications was contributing to inefficiencies and increasing manual processes. A more unified platform would streamline workflows, saving time and reducing internal resource costs.
  • We advised Hear and Say on upgrading its internet connectivity to business-grade links, ensuring reliable, high-performance cloud access. Additionally, we worked closely with the management team to bolster their cybersecurity posture, giving them the confidence to operate securely in the cloud.

The transformation required careful planning and a migration strategy that aligned with Hear and Say’s operational needs, ensuring that the transition occurred at a pace that suited the business.

The Outcome

Veracity successfully helped Hear and Say migrate to a cloud-based ICT platform that is now scalable, secure, and efficient. The result is a modernised, streamlined ICT environment that supports the organisation’s continued growth and enhances its ability to deliver high-quality services.

  • Hear and Say’s five centres are now fully supported by a cloud-based ICT infrastructure, providing greater flexibility and scalability to accommodate future growth and operational demands.
  • With the migration complete, Hear and Say’s application and infrastructure layers are significantly simplified, enabling faster access to critical data and improving internal efficiencies.
  • The organisation now benefits from business-grade internet connectivity, ensuring reliable access to cloud applications and enhanced communication between centres.
  • Hear and Say is supported by Veracity’s 24/7 IT service desk through a Managed Services Agreement, ensuring the team can focus on their core mission while Veracity proactively handles the ongoing management of their ICT environment.

The ICT platform migration was completed at a pace that matched Hear and Say’s capacity, with Veracity remotely monitoring the platform, responding to queries, and delivering monthly service reports to provide ongoing peace of mind.
